Who We Are
M2G stands for M Squared Gatbonton, a name inspired by both my wife, Michelle and me, Michael. We share the same initials, M.G. and together we represent the Gatbonton family.
This business is more than a name. It reflects our journey to find a better way to eat well, spend wisely and help others do the same.
How It Started
Michelle had always been the cook in our home. After pregnancy, her health took a serious turn. Even getting out of bed became a daily struggle due to her illness. I work long hours and with two athletic teenage boys who need fuel to perform and recover, meals became a constant challenge.
With limited time and no plan, we turned to what felt easiest: takeout food. At first it helped but over time the convenience wore thin. The food was not nourishing, the quality was inconsistent and overall just very expensive for what you get. We knew we could not continue that way.
A close friend noticed our situation and stepped in to help.
The Turning Point
She works in the meat industry and understands what separated good meat from great meat. She taught us how to cook simple meals and showed us the difference that quality cuts can make. We quickly saw how better meat cooks more evenly, tastes richer and elevates every meal.
That insight changed everything.
We did not want to pay premium prices at boutique butcher shops. We also were not interested in buying massive amounts of meat and letting it sit in the freezer for months. We needed something more practical that was affordable, fresh and easy to manage.
So we found it.

We began sourcing smaller bulk quantities from trusted, OMAFRA-inspected Ontario suppliers. Just enough for two to four weeks at a time. No waste, no stress, just clean, high-quality Canadian meat we could rely on.

We source from OMAFRA-licensed and inspected Canadian wholesalers, who professionally portion and cut the meats. Once your order is prepared, we personally deliver it the same day, kept cold in high-performance coolers to protect freshness and safety.
Canadian-Sourced Meats
The majority of our products are proudly Canadian. If a product comes from outside Canada (e.g. New Zealand), it will be clearly noted in the product description, transparency you can count on.

We deliver based on postal code coverage.

Toronto: Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke and some parts of East York.
